Bumble is a popular online dating platform that helps people discover and connect with potential matches in their local area. But just like most dating apps, the site doesn’t offer the option to search for specific people.

If you’re trying to match with someone in particular or check if someone you know is on Bumble, here are some workarounds to try.

1. Use Bumble Filters

While Bumble doesn’t have the option to search for someone in particular, you can still use its built-in search options to narrow down your search.

Step 1: Log into your Bumble account. (If you don’t already have an account, you’ll need to create one to proceed, or you can move on to the next method.)

Step 2: Tap the Settings icon in the top left corner of your screen.

Step 3: Scroll down to the Location section and tap Travel-to. Then select the city where the person you want to find is in.

Step 4: Select the gender and age that apply to the person you want to find.

Step 5: Tap on the Filter button at the top right corner, then tap Set advanced filters to filter for specifics like education, height, or astrological sign.

Step 6: Start swiping to see if you can locate the person you’re looking for.

2. Try Making a Profile with Their Phone Number

To find out if someone is registered on Bumble, you can also try signing up for an account with their phone number and see if you can move on to the next screen. If you can, that means the person doesn’t have an account, otherwise, it will prompt something like the phone number is already in use.

Note that this only tells you if someone ever had a profile on Bumble. It won’t tell you if they are actively using the site. So if you’re trying to check if your partner is on this site, this won’t help.

3. Try Social Catfish

When it comes to searching for people online, the most effective way is through dedicated people search engines. These tools allow you to find someone’s information, including their social media profiles, public records, and employment details. All you need to do is a name, phone number, or just an email.

Step 1: Go to Social Catfish.

Step 2: Type the person’s name and click Search.

Step 3: Social Catfish will bring up a list of possible results. Just click the closest match and check the Websites section to view what sites they are on.

4. Use PeopleFinders

Another tool you might want to try is PeopleFinders. Much like Social Catfish listed above, this site digs up a wealth of information on the person you’re trying to find, leveraging millions of data points and dozens of data sources. If you’ve ever placed personal information anywhere online, whether that be your email address, birth date, or location, PeopleFinders is likely to have it.

Step 1: Go to PeopleFinders.

Step 2: Type the person’s name and click Search.

PeopleFinders will collect data from public forums, social media, and public records. Once completed, it will generate a detailed report showing profiles the person has created.
