If you are curious about finding someone’s dating profile, there are a few ways you can go about it. This post outlines the most effective methods to locate someone’s profile on dating sites.
1. Direct Site Search Using Google
If you suspect someone has a profile on a specific dating site, you can use Google’s site-specific search to look for clues.
In a Google search, type site: followed by the domain, and then the person’s name or potential username. Remember, there should be no spaces between “site:” and the domain. For example:
site:tinder.com john doe
This search confines results to the specific website you want to search within.
It’s important to note that not all dating profiles are public or indexed by Google, making this method more effective for certain sites than others. For example, during our test, we successfully bring up profiles on Tinder and Match, while with eharmony, Plenty of Fish, and Bumble, this trick doesn’t work.
2. WhatsMyName
WhatsMyName is a website that allows you to search for usernames across various platforms, including dating sites and social media. It can be particularly helpful if the person you’re looking for tends to use the same username on multiple websites.
To use WhatsMyName, enter a username the person has used on any social media network in the search box and initiate the search. The tool will return a list of links to profiles under that username across the web. Check to see if you can find a dating profile from there.
3. Spokeo
Another way to search for someone’s dating profiles is with a people search engine like Spokeo.
Spokeo aggregates data from various sources, owning an extensive collection of social media and dating site profiles. It allows you to search someone’s profile by name, username, phone number, address, or email address. This can be a powerful method to locate someone’s online presence, including dating profiles.
For example, here is a username lookup report I got from Spokeo. It displays a Tinder profile matching the username being searched.
