Audible is an audiobook subscription service provided by Amazon. It has the biggest audiobook library on the market and lets you download and listen to audible books on your phone, tablet, and computer, wherever you go and whenever you want.
In this guide, we’ll cover how to get Audible free trials and how you can cancel your Audible plan so you won’t get charged after the trial.
How to Get Audible Free Trial
1. Grab the 3-month Audible Free Trial with Amazon Prime
If you’re a new customer of Audible.com and you have an Amazon Prime membership, whether you paid for it or you’re in a free trial, you are eligible to receive a 60-day Audible membership free trial in addition to the standard 30-day free trial period. This means you’ll be able to enjoy Audible Premium Plus FREE for 3 months.
If you don’t cancel your membership, you’ll be charged $14.95/mo. after the trial ends. If you don’t know how to cancel, check the next section of How to Cancel Audible Plan.
Here’s how to get the 60-day Audible free trial with Amazon Prime:
1) Go to Amazon Prime.
2) Click View Offer and follow the on-screen instructions to get the 3-month Audible Premium Plus trial.
2. Sign up for the 30-day Audible free trial
Amazon is offering free trials for both Audible Plus and Audible Premium Plus. (What’re the differences between these two? In short, both plans allow unlimited listening to the Audible Plus catalog, but with Audible Premium Plus, you get one credit per month for an audiobook of the member’s choice from the entire Audible catalog.)
To sign up for the free trial, follow the instructions below:
1) Go to Audible.com.
2) Log in to your Amazon account. You’ll need to create an account if you don’t already have one.
3) Click Try for $0.00 and follow the on-screen instructions to get the free trial.
There you have it – the Audible free trial for 30 days. Note you’ll be charged $7.95 a month, or after the trial ends if you don’t cancel the subscription. If you don’t want to get charged, follow the instructions in the next part to see How to Cancel Audible Plan.
How to Cancel Audible Plan
If you don’t like Audible or you just don’t want to get charged after the trial ends, you can cancel anytime. After the cancellation, you can still keep the books you’ve already purchased and you can receive Audible books as gifts from others, but you’ll lose credits on your accounts, and you won’t be able to return your audiobooks. So be sure that you handle any returns or exchanges prior to canceling your membership.
Canceling your membership won’t affect your free trial, so you can do this anytime during the trial period. Follow the instructions to see how to do it:
1) Go to Audible.com and log into your account.
2) Click View Account.
3) Click Membership & package charges.
4) Click Membership details.
5) Click Cancel Membership.
6) Click No, continue cancellation.
7) Click No, continue cancellation.
8) Click Finish canceling.
After canceling your Audible membership, you won’t be charged again.
